Our mission is to create a environment for student to come explore the world of dance and cheer, and feel free to express themselves in the art of dance. We want to watch students grow and develop talents from the inside and out. We our committed to build confidence, magnificence, and long lasting friendships and memories. We enjoy sharing are unique style and up to date challenging choreography for all levels from beginning to advanced. We offer a wide range of classes including regular weekly classes to Company Team classes.
Ada has been on its 14th year in Hyrum. Being located in Hyrum sets our studio apart less hassle of drive and time element. OUR NEW studio is located in Hyrum 130 North 800 East and cheer classes held in Elite Hall 100 West Main street. It is a historical site because of the very popular spring floor.
Angie Andreasen- Owner/Company director- Angie has over 29 years of dance experience. She has training in numerous styles of dance including, ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, lyrical, contemporary, drill, character, cheer and tumbiling. Angie was a member of Mountain Crest Drill Team for 3 years. After high school Angie choreographed dance and drill and solo routines in Idaho and Utah winning numerous high point and Best choreography awards. She has had extensive training with many of the industries top choreographers from New York to LA.
Angie opened up ADA in 1998 and has watched her students grow to become well rounded dancers and make teams in cache valley for High School and become instructors themselves. She is a certified judge for Utah and Idaho and is a member of UDJA and travels to judge competitions for drill, dance, and cheer. Her companies have received High Point, Overall, Choreography, and Technical Awards. Her greatest accomplishments is her husband Ryan and her 4 children, Kaiden, Dylan, Jordyn, and London. Angie is very passionate about dance and loves what she does. She wants to share that passion with her students.
Kazia Jackson-Company assistant director/Instructor- Kazia has been dancing all her life as far back as she can remember. She has dance with companies in Cache Valley and Tremonton. She was a member of the Mountain Crest Drill Team and became and instructor at ADA while attending high school. She has training in ballet, jazz, tap, drill, and Hip Hop. Kazia has choreographed solo's and duets which have won Queen at competitions. Kazia's love and dedication to dance has won her classes High point and Best choreography awards. She enjoys her students and loves to watch them grow.
Jessica Buckner-Ballet Director-Jessica started dancing at the age of 3, and has always had a love for the arts. She started her pre-professional ballet training at the age of 15. Under the direction of Jennie Creer-King, Jessica competed in the international ballet competition, Youth Amerca Grand Prix in San Fransisco and Denver, as well as qualifying for New York City finals in 2008. Jessica attended Houston Ballet’s Ben Stevenson Academy summer intensive program in 2008. During her competition years she performed various works from Paquita, Don Quixote, Sleeping Beauty and La Bayadere. Along with her classical ballet training Jessica also has an extensive contemporary background. While Jessica is a Marketing student at Utah State University, her true passion is ballet and she is excited to be able to share her experiences and passion with her students.
Christa Harding-Instructor-Christa has been involved with dance for 20 years. She has a ballet background from Rocky Mountain Ballet, and a Jazz background from Utah Academy of Dance. She was a member of the Orem High School Dance Company. She furthered her dance education at Utah Valley University and Weber State University. She has performed in Rocky Mountain Ballet’s production of The Nutcracker and has participated in many competitions both as a competitor and a choreographer. She has taught for Provo community schools, Utah Academy of Dance in Orem, and Stars Dance in Clearfield. She loves dance and seeing students feel a sense of accomplishment as they work hard to achieve their goals.
Kaitlyn Hendrickson-Cheer Director Kaitlyn competed in cheer, tumbling, and dance for more than 10 years. She was a member of Peak All Star Cheerleading for 5 years, and for 3 of these years she was captain of the team. She started tumbling at age 7 and did it all the way through high school. She was selected as an assistant coach for an All-Star Cheerleading team when she was 16 years old, and held this position for 2 and a half years. She coached 3 levels of tumbling for 2 years as well. Kaitlyn also did one-on-one coaching for girls trying out for high school cheerleading teams her senior year of high school and freshman year of college. She has also taken classes on stunting safety and is very adamant about safety in cheer. Kaitlyn is an extremely hard worker when it comes to the sport of cheerleading, and dedicates much of her time to helping girls progress and grow stronger in this sport! Kaitlyn is currently a student at USU studying psychology. She is very excited to start her first year here at ADA as the All-Star head coach, and expects to do very well!
Whitley Riggs-Hip Hop director-Whitley has had a passion for dance since she can remember. She has had training in all forms of dance over the past 10 years. At the age of 8 she auditioned for Junior Jazz Dancer for the NBA Utah Jazz Team and made it. She was a member with them for a year and performed numerous half time performances at the Delta Center. She has traveled to Dance conventions and has worked with todays top leading choreographers. She is wanting to continue her dance career in New York as soon as she graduates high school and then off to LA to work as a dancer. Whitley is a natural at everything she does. Everyone loves Whitley and loves to watch her dance. She has won queen at and 1st attendant at solo competitions. She is excited to share her love of dance with ADA!
Tailer Peterson-Rec cheer- Tailer is a high school graduate of Mountain Crest High School. She has been dancing since the age of 3. She was a member of the ACA Allstar team and has been assisting the Rec Cheer at ADA. Tailer has a goal to always push herself and work hard and be dedicated to everything she does. She is thrilled to join the ADA staff and instruct students and teach them the skills for cheerleading.
